Surya Namaskar Competition
Surya Namaskar Competition-2023-24 has been organized for the first time in the state by the Department of Sports, Youth Service and Cultural Activities through Gujarat State Yoga Board. Dt. Surya Namaskar competitions have been organized across the state from December 6 to December 31. This is not just a competition, but a grand campaign to make Surya Namaskar a part of people’s daily life.
Surya Namaskar Competition: https://snc.gsyb.in: A novel approach has been taken to make citizens healthy through yoga practice in the state. In which, for the first time, a state-wide Surya Namaskar Maha Abhiyan competition has been started through the Gujarat State Yoga Board, which has been organized from 6th December to 1st January 2024 in the entire state from village level to district/municipality level. In which category wise winners at village / school / ward level will be given a cash prize of Rs.101. One brother and one sister according to the age group of the winning contestants at Taluka / Municipality / Zone level will get Rs. 1000 prize money will be given. The first brother and sister who won at the district and municipal level will get Rs. 21,000/- to the second brother and sister Rs. 15,000/- and the third brother and sister will get Rs. 11,000 cash prize money will be given.
The first winning brother and sister to win at the state level will get Rs. 2,50,000/-, third brother and sister will get Rs. 1,75,000/- and to the third brother and sister Rs. 1,00,000/- cash prize money will be given. Apart from this, all participating contestants will also be given a digital certificate.

The registration of this competition which will be held from village / school and ward level to state level will be done through online link. This registration link has been launched by Youth Services and Culture Minister Harsh Sanghvi.

Youth Services and Culture Minister Harsh Sanghvi said about this grand campaign that yoga competition will be organized in more than 20 thousand places in the entire state and prizes worth more than 2 crores will be given to the contestants. As part of this state-wide Surya Namaskar Maha Abhiyan competition, Surya Namaskar competition will be organized in the entire state from 6th to 31st December.
In which this competition will be held starting from village / school / ward level to state level. The registration of which will be done through online link. Contestants who want to participate in this competition can register through the online link.
Time Table
- Online registration can be done from December 2023 to participate in this competition.
- Village and Napa / Manpa ward level competition will be held on December 15.
- Taluka and zone level competition will be held on December 19.
- District and Municipal level competition will be held on December 24 .
- The state level competition is going to be held on December 29.
Age Limit
- This competition is divided into 3 categories. Citizens aged 09 to 18 years, 19 to 40 years and above 41 years can participate in 3 categories.

The program will be held at 190 places
After the completion of the competition, a state-level Surya Namaskar program has been organized on 1-January-2024 at Modhera-Surya Mandir, Mehsana, in the presence of Lord Surya Narayan, worshiping the Sun God through Surya Namaskar with the first sun ray of the new year. In which a grand felicitation ceremony will be held for the state level winners.
Not only that, on the same day, programs have been organized at around 190 places across the state at district/metropolitan and municipal levels as well. In which a large number of citizens will participate and join in organizing Surya Namaskar programs to welcome the sun rays of the new year and worship the Sun God.
