Eligibility Criteria

- Candidate must be an Indian citizen or as per the Gujarat Civil Services Classification and Recruitment Rules, 1967.

- Minimum: 18 Years
- Maximum: 33 Years
- Upper age relaxation applicable for Reserved Categories, Women, Divyang, and Ex-Servicemen.
Educational Qualification
- Diploma in Horticulture from a recognized Polytechnic/University in Agriculture or Horticulture.
- Basic Computer Knowledge as per Gujarat Civil Services Rules.
- Adequate knowledge of Gujarati/Hindi is mandatory.
Salary (Pay Scale)
- Fixed Pay: ₹40,800/- per month (First 5 years)
- After completion of 5 years (subject to performance): ₹29,200 – ₹92,300 (Level-5, 7th CPC Pay Matrix)
Selection Process
- Competitive Examination (MCQ based) in CBRT/OMR mode
- Stages of Exam:
- Part A: Reasoning, Aptitude & Data Interpretation – 50 Marks
- Part B: GK, Constitution, Current Affairs & Subject (Horticulture) – 150 Marks
- Total Marks: 200
- Duration: 3 Hours (180 minutes)
- Negative Marking: 0.25 marks per wrong answer
